YubNub is a result of the 24hrs Rails Day Competition. One of many, I haven’t seen any other yet but I do think this one is very neat!
YubNub is an Internet command line interface. Meaning: (quote from the author)
Type “gim porsche911” to do a Google Image search for Porsche 911 cars.
Type “random 1000” for a random number between 1 and 1000.
Type “tts David Heinemeier Hansson is cool” to have it speak those words. Anyone can add commands by providing an appropriate URL, so it is “social”.
I very curious about who will actually win the competition, I’m sure there are some great apps in there.
