After reading some reviews / experiences on NetBeans 4.0 beta 1 I decided to give it another chance. Previous version (3.6) was really crap. Slow, slow, mounting directories, sluggish, I just don’t understand people actually use it.
Well now, this starts to look like a real IDE. I really like the ant-based-projects-thingy. Just pass it youre build.xml and woops there you go. The response times are also much better. Everything is better then before.
It just feels like an IDE now. I’m going to continue to play with it for a while so maybe I’ll change my mind again (since I’ve only used it for a couple of hours now) but so far I’m happy.
Surprised? I can imagine, so was I. :)
