I just stumbled on Uday Subbarayan’s Weblog and thought :0xCAFEBABE? Never heard of it.
So I did some googling :
The first four bytes of every Java class file are specified to be 0xCAFEBABE, a magic number that can help tools quickly differentiate likely class files from non class files.[more]
