ClearType in Windows XP

Veerle writes about fontrendering on Mac OS X and Windows XP. Now, I must say this is quite interesting because as she writes:

… because not everybody has updated to Windows XP and even if they are ClearType is off by default. Most users I know don’t even have a clue that it is there in the first place.

I’m (was) one of those users who don’t (didn’t) have a clue that it is (was) there :p

update: I just turned ClearType on and I can assure you it’s one hell of a difference. Damn, mucho better!
